Periodically, a lecture will be offered for those with no direct experience in the film/television industry. Some workshops and lectures may require pre-requisites and may require a nominal registration fee.
To register, please email or call the contact listed on the current training schedule page and/or within the online bulletin board. (The NM Film Office does not register attendees for these workshops or lectures.) When sending an email to the contact, it is recommended you write in the subject heading “For PETP Registration”. In the body of this email, provide your name, contact information, the NM city in which you reside, and the title/dates of workshop or lecture for which you would like to register.
You will be sent a PETP Trainee Certification Form. Submit this completed form to the above contact along with any required fee. You will receive a confirmation that you are registered. You may also receive directions to the facility, a reminder to bring identification to the workshop or lecture, and any other pertinent details. You will be required to have identification, such as a NM driver’s license or voter’s registration card, to attend a PETP workshop or lecture.
If you are under the age of 18, you may only attend lectures and must be accompanied by a guardian. Minors are not permitted to attend “hands-on” workshops.
Please note, as film crew members are basically independent contractors, these workshops and lectures are designed to increase hirability for film and multimedia projects for continual employment in the industry. Completing the training activities does not guarantee employment.
