The New Mexico Film Office (NMFO), a division of the New Mexico Economic Development Department, is a state agency which serves the film industry locally, nationally, and internationally. Our purpose is to market the state to the film industry, service the productions and promote jobs for New Mexicans. We offer many resources for producers, film crew, local businesses and local filmmakers.


New Mexico Film Office Industry Directory
You can now register and list in our new 2012 Industry Directory online. This directory has many new features including year-round registration.

Searchable Locations Database
Available to local filmmakers, our online searchable location database has over 60,000 photographs of 8000 locations in New Mexico. If you have having trouble finding the perfect location for your next project, you can search this library using specific cities or key words to find just the right look.

Bulletin Board
This is a great resource to post film-related events. Look for training announcements, crew and casting calls, and productions that are shooting or wrapping.

NM Filmmakers Program
The NM Filmmakers Program has been offering a series of training programs, competitions, networking events, outreach and many other career enhancing opportunities for locals. Look for the current list of free workshops and screenings.

Workforce Development Programs for NM Crew
These programs are directed to crew working in below-the-line job positions. The Pre-employment Training Program provides reimbursement funds to qualified contractors for workshops/lectures. The Film Crew Advancement Program creates an incentive for productions to hire qualifying New Mexicans interested in adding a new skill set or advancing their craft.
